Accra is buzzing with nightlife, but there’s one spot that has completely stolen my heart (and my Tuesday nights!): +233 Jazz Bar & Grill. I’m not just a casual visitor, I’m a regular.
The music is simply amazing. +233 brings in serious talent, skilled musicians who know their craft, playing everything from classic jazz and blues to vibrant highlife. Every night feels like a mini-concert, and I’ve discovered some incredible artists I wouldn’t have known otherwise.
The musicianship is top-notch. These guys and gals can play. The energy is infectious, the solos are mind-blowing, and the improvisations are truly something special. Whether it’s a soulful saxophone, a groovy bassline, or powerful vocals, the talent on that stage consistently blows me away.
There’s more! The food is fantastic, some of the best food I have had in Accra. Try the fried rice, it is amazingly good, all all at prices that won’t break the bank. It’s the perfect fuel for a night of dancing and enjoying the music.
Beyond the music and food, there’s just a great vibe at +233. The open-air setting is relaxed and spacious, the crowd is always a good mix of locals and expats, and the staff are friendly. It’s the kind of place where you can come with a group of friends or just by yourself and still have a fantastic time.
If you’re looking for a place in Accra with great music, delicious food, and a vibrant atmosphere, look no further than +233 Jazz Bar & Grill. Just don’t be surprised if you see me there.
